P&G London 2012 - Behind All Athletes is a Hardworking Mom
According to P&G we wouldn’t have all the great Athletes gathered in London this summer without the moms. The athletes have trained thousands of hours and no doubt required a lot of help from a hardworking mom with endless laundry piles and lots of driving or coordinating transport to and from practice.
In this spot made by W+K Portland, P&G shows appreciation to and honors the moms and all the efforts made to help their children succeed. The message: Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, but also the best.
Besides the commercial P&G invites consumers to join them and take part in the “Thank You, Mom” campaign on Facebook and claim to be THE proud sponsor of moms!
That’s a damn brilliant sponsorship to take ownership of considering your core brands offer everything from diapers, detergents, cleaning articles to kitchen appliances!
The Guardian: Three Little Pigs - The Whole Picture
This hilarious new ad for the Guardian’s open journalism, screened for the first time on 29 February 2012, imagines how the paper would cover the story of Three Little Pigs from the paper’s front page headline, to web coverage with footage from the scene, to social media discussions and even outcry on Twitter.
The ad creatively follows the developing story of the pigs’ arrest for killing the Big Bad Wolf, shows a simulation of the Big Bad Wolf blowing the houses down, and finally twists the ending of the age-old fairy tale.
Apparently, it is the first major television campaign for the Guardian in over twenty-five years and the process of creating and writing the paper has certainly changed since. The change in the media landscape and people’s abilty to share and show opinions world wide in real time is exactly why the Guardian found it necessary to promote the paper’s concept of “open journalism,” - The paper wants to communicate that the organization and employees have adapted and the approach to journalism has been advanced accordingly to the evolution.
I’m quite amazed by the result and would like to also give credit to the agency BBH, London. The creative idea, the storyline and the execution are all profound.
Nike+ “Make it Count” - A day in the Life of the PROs
I can’t help it, Nike just keep making the coolest ads and online films and now it is time to share yet another web film.
As earlier written in a post last month, Nike+ is focusing on “making it count” - every day, every training is about getting one step closer to your goal. A branding concept very relevant with a year of both the EURO2012 and the Olympics.
This film shows how some of Nike’s athletes make it count to reach their goals, but with a cool twist in regard to one’s perception of a typical day in the life of a pro athlete.
British Airway: The Race - Ready for the Olympics 2012
We all wait with great excitement to see and experience the Olympic Games in London this summer. Some look forward to the actual games and matches others to follow the innumerable brands, which will all struggle to come across and get their share of the attention and buzz.
One brand and company can be pretty sure to get full bookings and probably maximum revenue and that’s British Airways. To tell the consumers and soon to be travellers that BA is ready to meet the demand and go full speed, BBH has made this humorous spot:
